Liz Hurley says all the clothes worn by her son Damian, are chosen by Elton John. Elton, who is the boy’s godfather, does not pick inappropriate items for her son. He buys all her son’s clothes. She said: “He gets little English boy’s clothes, little sweaters and little shorts. He wears little socks too”. Sir Elton John and David Furnish go shopping twice a year. Once for summer clothes and once to buy winter wear”.
I saw Elton John and David Furnish in the pedestrian precinct in Nice, on Friday, August 13, 2004, (nearly 3 years ago). They were with Liz Hurley and her little boy. They were coming out ofChanel. I wanted an autograph, but he said no. Elton just shook his head. I knew that he was going to Louis Vuitton, around the corner, and I was walking just behind him. I’ve waited for him to leave the shop. I spoke to David in English, he replied in French. I didn’t know that he was speaking French. It’s great!
For the moment Elton John is in Nice. On Wednesday evening he had a good time with Rod Steward in a restaurant until midnight.

David Furnish wants Elton to stop performing at concerts, so that they may spend more time together. “We’d never want to change each other, but it would be so much nicer to spend more time together. I’d rather have more days with him than without him. I’ve seen loads of him, but it’s not the same as being in the same place at the same time”. For the moment, they are on vacation in Capri.

David Furnish has reportedly revealed that there’s been a change in the musician’s attitude since reaching his milestone 60th birthday. “He’s been in an absolute bubble floating happily along ever since. It was nice to see his face light up when he walked in, because Elton’s not good at taking compliments. It was great for him to feel how loved he is by his friends. When you’re someone who battles with low self-esteem and you’re out there giving the whole time, it’s hard. But I think turning 60 has been a milestone for him. There’s a complete change in attitude, in a completely positive direction, which I’m really happy about”. For Elton’s birthday David has bought “a ring with his zodiac sign in it, a beautiful travelling mirror and a handmade briefcase”. David laughed: “He’s so hard to buy presents for, as he doesn’t have a big wish list, and the wish list he does have, I can’t afford”.
