Elton’s home gallery

Elton John wants to knock down part of his £8 million mansion and replace it with a giant art gallery. Elton has paintings worth tens of millions of pounds in a collection to rival museums like the Louvre, in Paris, France. He also owns one of the world’s largest private photo collections, which has outgrown his homes in France, England and America. He wants to put all the works in one place with hi-tech security. Sir Elton has asked his local council for permission to demolish a huge garage block at his mansion in Old Windsor, Berkshire, and build a gallery in its place. Elton John said: “I never get fed up with looking at the images”.
