Elton John and David Furnish attended a special night of Billy Elliot on May 12, 2006, celebrating the first anniversary of the musical. For this special event Elton John was wearing a tutu. In March the Queen Elisabeth II and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh attended a performance of Billy Elliot.

Elton John is already planning his next musical. A stage version of Pedro Almodovar movie, Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He said: “It's such a colourful story and different from what I've done before”. I could have a lot of fun with something like that."
